👋🏻SAYONARA ANATA NO WAREHOUSE 👾w/ Leica M7 + Voightlander 35mm f1.4 & Portra 400/// On the Sunday 17 of November 2019 one the most elaborately themed arcade in the country, Anata no Warehouse in Kawasaki, has shut down for reasons that remain unexplained.

The five-story mega-arcade was the brainchild of Taishiro Hoshino, a set designer for kabuki theater, who opened it in 2009. Far from a simple collection of games, Anata no Warehouse (“Your Warehouse”) was a recreation of the Kowloon Walled City in Hong Kong’s New Territories, a gravity-defying mega-slum that had captured the world’s imagination until it was torn down in 1993.

✨SEOUL BY NIGHT ✨ w/ Leica M7 + Voigtlander 35mm f1.4 & Cinestill 800t // Back in 2019, before to move to Japan I’ve ordered a bunch of @cinestillfilm to my favorite film dealer @marinette_vintage ✨ Seoul was my first stop and that’s where I decided to try something new. My best friend @enzolucia_ has always be a big inspiration for me and at this time he was doing amazing night photography ! I wasn’t really into it but I wanted to give a try and after my first roll I felt in love with this atmosphere. Shooting at night is quiet, everything is empty and different. For this first time I’ve tried to use a tripod but it was pretty annoying to use… Handheld was more comfortable even if you have more chance to fail* but it’s okay that’s how you learn ! I wasn't shooting that much in Bordeaux, probably less than 10 roll in a year... So trying this strange lens was a good opportunity to be back 💪🏻✨ Usually I'm not a big fan of B&W film but this time I was really impressed by the result of the lens. The contrast and the bokeh are definitely something else on that 32mm 👁

Like the bear pictures is probably my favorite B&W shot 🐻 This was my second trip to S.Korea and I've enjoyed much more shooting around the street but not enought time to shoot more... 🌳NIWAKI ✂️ w/ Leica M7 & Voigtlander 35mm f1.4 + Kodak Trix 400 // Niwaki (庭木) is the Japanese word for "garden trees". Niwaki is also a descriptive word for highly "sculpting trees. As you can see that tree on the picture is sculpted through the fences of this house 🪴Makes me feel that he s litteraly a part of the house, not only a tree. Something very organic. Nature and Architecture can be one 🏡 I rarely shot in black and white film, I found it very hard to compose with it and I also love colors too much. Japan is a colorful country so it's very hard to not be tempted. I ve only shot one roll of 400 Trix in 8 month 😅 I really want to try more B&W ( even more now since color film cost a kidney) @john.sypal @fukukawatakashi & @renatorepetto pictures are a real motivation to shoot more 🙏🏻
